Chess Books
By Barbie Fortune
This list of chess books is made up of favorites and classics including books by Rocky Mountain chess players Tim Brennan, Anthea Carson, and Andy Rea. Each of these three players have played in tournaments up and down the Front Range even venturing to Wyoming to play in the Wyoming Open. Check for these books on Amazon or other online bookseller sites as well as local bookstores and local book sales. Some books may also be available on Kindle or Good Reads.
Some chess teachers recommend that you set up a board using the pieces that you would use to play in a rated game. Analyzing on your own or with friends is a terrific way to learn and improve.
